The private Facebook page of Malia Obama has just been found, and she reportedly used it to criticize President Donald Trump.
Daily Mail reported that Malia’s cover photo shows four stickie notes with the phrases “Donald Trump is President,” “This is not normal,” “Donald Trump is evil” and “Don’t be complacent” written on them. The photo was “liked” by Joe Biden’s 20 year-old granddaughter Finnegan, who commented, “Never saw this. I like it.”
Malia promoted various leftwing political causes on the page, including gun reform. After the Las Vegas country music festival mass shooting that left 58 dead, Malia shared a link to a petition demanding gun reform.
Malia, 20, is in her second year at Harvard University and was recently spotted drinking alcohol underage at a party in Miami Beach. Photos show Malia sipping on a $80 Whispering Angel bottle of rosé at an exclusive five star hotel. She will not be turning 21 until July.
This comes after it was reported that Barack and Michelle Obama will not be endorsing a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. The Hill reported that Barack has met with numerous Democratic candidates who are running, including Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and Elizabeth Warren.
Eric Schultz, a senior adviser to the former president, said that Barack has been encouraged by the “diverse, experienced and principled” field of candidates taking shape, and that he had been “happy to speak privately with candidates seeking his guidance on the best way to lead the country.”
“President Obama counsels candidates to always show up and make their case even in areas or in front of audiences they may not necessarily win; express views and positions that reflect their genuine beliefs; and share a positive vision for the country true to their own personal story,” Schultz said.
It remains to be seen whether the Obama family will follow through with not endorsing a candidate.
