Muslim Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib got emotional this week and claimed that she is a victim of “domestic terrorism.”
As noted by the New York Post, the Michigan lawmaker used her time during a committee hearing on white supremacy on Tuesday to read out loud a death threat that she received after
Tlaib appeared to be holding back tears as she read the letter and pleaded with an FBI official to take action.
“‘This is a great start, let’s hope and pray it continues here in the good old USA. The only good Muslim is a dead one,’” Tlaib said, reading the letter she received.
“We get so many of them, and I keep asking, ‘What happens?’ ‘What happens to these individuals?’ I’m really sincere. I’m a mother. I want to go home to my two boys,” she added.
Tlaib said President Donald Trump, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security were copied on the letter sent to her office and that the incident should be classified as terrorism.
“How is that not enough to fall under domestic terrorism, if they’re targeting solely based on my faith and others in saying ‘a good Muslim is a dead one’ obviously directed to me,” Tlaib said.

“I’m in charge of domestic terrorism and international terrorism. I don’t differentiate either when the threat comes in, nor does the FBI. We work them both the same way,” McGarrity said.
Tlaib became a member of Congress in January, and has already found herself in hot water countless times.
Tlaib stunned many late last month after she claimed thinking about the holocaust gives her a “calming feeling.”
Tlaib said the Holocaust — where millions of innocent people were beaten, tortured, and murdered — gives her a “calming feeling” because her Palestinian ancestors provided a “safe haven” for Jewish victims of the tragedy.
Prior to that, the Michigan lawmaker said she feels “more Palestinian in Congress” than American.
who supports having a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border also supports white supremacy.
“The ones that stay silent and the ones that support the Muslim ban. Not only once, but twice, three times did we in this nation say to the world and to everyone in this country that Muslims don’t belong here,” Tlaib said.
Hours after Democrats took control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2018, Tlaib launched into a profanity-laced diatribe against President Donald Trump and voted “impeach the motherf**ker.”
