House Speaker Nancy Pelosi caved this week and handed President Donald Trump a massive victory on the border.
During her weekly news conference, Pelosi falsely claimed that Democrats have “never” denied that there is a “crisis” on the U.S.-Mexico border.
While she’s lying about her previous comments, she admitted that Trump has been correct about the crisis on the border.
“Well, let me just say this. We have never not said that there was a crisis — there is a humanitarian crisis at the border, and some of it provoked by the actions taken by the administration,” Pelosi stated.
“What is happening at the border is tragic and we hope to address some of that in the disaster supplemental,” the California Democrat added. “And we understand our responsibility to secure our border.”
Conservative political comedian Tim Young put together a compilation showing Pelosi admitting on Thursday that there’s a crisis on the border, but denying it countless times earlier this year.
Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi stated that Democrats NEVER SAID THERE WASN'T A CRISIS at the border…
Sooo… here's a mashup of Democrats (including her) saying there wasn't a crisis at the border 4 months ago. pic.twitter.com/pPajr7056R

As noted by Breitbart, Pelosi and Democrats previously argued that there’s “no crisis” on the U.S.-Mexico border.
During a joint press conference in January, Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) accused the president of using the “backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention.”
Further, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said of the situation at the Southern border after a visit to El Paso, Texas: “The first, most dramatic thing we found was there is no crisis.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Trump is gearing up to use the Insurrection Act to remove illegal immigrants from the United States.
Here’s more on what Insurrection Act and how the Trump administration plans to use it:
Under the Insurrection Act of 1807, the president has the authority to use the National Guard and military in order to combat “unlawful obstruction or rebellion” within U.S. borders.
The act was last invoked in 1992 by George H.W. Bush to quell the Los Angeles riots, and was also used by Eisenhower in 1957 to enforce school desegregation in the south.
The president is also considering declaring the country full and arguing that the U.S. can no longer handle the massive influx of illegal immigrants.
A new report reveals that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico border were overwhelmed in April.
CBP detained 109,144 migrants at America’s southern border in April, the highest number of apprehensions in 12 years and a 6 percent increase from March.
Customs and Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security have been experiencing an unprecedented wave in migration from Central America.
There’s a crisis at the border — and Pelosi is finally admitting that the president has been right about it the entire time.
